Get started in your own teaching with TU Darmstadt's new diversity strategy
TU Darmstadt's first diversity strategy was adopted in the spring, but what does that mean for your own teaching now?
In this workshop we would like to work with this strategy by establishing a clear connection to our own teaching practice: Where do we encounter diversity in teaching?
How do we deal with this in the best possible way? What challenges does this pose to my role as a teacher? How are we ourselves involved in discriminatory structures? How can we uncover and process these? Questions that we would like to work on together with you in order to find solutions to everyday challenges in practice.
The structure of the workshop is based on a mixture of theoretical input, group work and individual case work. In preparation, a reflection unit is worked on, which prepares for the workshop and enables a practical connection to one's own teaching.
Contents:
- Get to know diversity dimensions
- Identify aspects of diversity and discrimination in your own teaching
- Apply areas of application of the strategy to your own teaching and get to know practical options for action
When: November 23rd, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m
