Pilot project research week (SK2)
The pilot project "Research Week" allows students to gain initial insights and take independent steps into the world of research projects. The project addresses both the content-related and methodological dimensions.
Many students begin their studies without hermeneutic and empirical methodological skills and have insufficient knowledge of how to conduct a research project. They are inexperienced in research processes and their integration into university and research structures. Furthermore, they typically have limited knowledge of postcolonial practices within the context of knowledge production.
The research week aims to facilitate engagement with these topics. This is achieved through discussions of student theses, ongoing doctoral projects, and professors' research projects. Students can explore research structures, such as collaborations with doctoral/research centers. Various events during this project week offer researchers a dialogue about conducting research projects, where research questions, methods, and knowledge transfer are discussed and reflected upon.
The resulting cross-departmental, interdisciplinary structure, accessible to all students, is transferable and promotes cooperation between students and teachers as well as their participation in campus life.
