Pilot project research week (SK2)
The research week pilot project gives students initial insights and independent steps into the world of research projects. In addition to the content dimension, the project also concerns the methodological dimension.
Many students start their studies without hermeneutic and empirical methodological skills and have insufficient knowledge of how to carry out a research project. You are inexperienced in research processes and their integration into university and research structures. In addition, you usually have little knowledge of postcolonial practices in the context of knowledge production.
The research week is intended to enable an examination of these topics. This is done by discussing student theses, ongoing doctorates or professors’ research projects. Students can get involved with research structures, such as cooperation with doctoral/research centers. Various events during this project week open up a dialogue for researchers about the implementation of research projects, in which research questions, methods and transfer are discussed and reflected.
The resulting cross-departmental, interdisciplinary structure, which is accessible to all students, is transferable and promotes cooperation between students and teachers as well as their participation in campus life.
