University-wide project week

The university-wide project week enables competency-oriented, individualized and practical learning in interdisciplinary teams - on site and across departmental boundaries. The flexibilization takes place primarily in the content dimension.

The increasing heterogeneity of students has already led to a need to make studying more flexible in the past by differentiating the course formats, curricula and teaching/learning formats. The digitalization boost caused by the Corona pandemic opens up further opportunities in this regard, some of which lead away from the place of study at the campus university. Despite or precisely because of the increasing differentiation, especially in terms of time and space, it is all the more important to create unifying opportunities for students and teachers that enable competency-oriented, individualized and therefore sustainable learning and teaching in personal and direct interaction. A university-wide interdisciplinary project week will provide such an opportunity for all students and teachers.

In terms of content, students and teachers should work in heterogeneous groups on an inter-/transdisciplinary basis on socially relevant topics. The projects enable you to get to know new perspectives and develop new perspectives beyond your own subject. The project week takes place in a lecture-free period reserved for this purpose. The project-oriented events attended should be integrated into the curriculum and count towards the degree. Accordingly, they will include an obligation to participate and proof to be provided by the students. The project week is organized centrally.

By integrating all departments on site, the campus university as such is strengthened.
