Educational Canon – Smart Education/Opportunities through Education

Inspired by Humboldt's ideal of education, the project aims to give all university members the opportunity to expand their skills and give them “opportunities through education”. Through the active and reflexive engagement with art, culture and themselves, students in particular should be supported in developing their personality and, in addition to the course-specific specialist skills, also in developing their personal, social and methodological skills. This allows them to expand their individual cultural and social capital and empowers them to participate in society.

Our diverse offerings include the planning and implementation of events, the organization of workshops for students and university members as well as the design of impulse units for teaching. We also support student cultural projects that enable a wide range of creative forms of expression. In addition, we enter into a dialogue with teachers and employees in order to find ways to integrate general education and cultural education into teaching and everyday university life.
