Welcome to Department 2: Computer Science and Engineering

Starting your studies is a challenge for many people: How do I organize my new life? Will I meet the requirements? And how do I finance myself? New students in Faculty 2, Computer Science and Engineering will find out answers to these and many other questions as part of this sub-project.

Students can benefit from the offers as early as the first semester introduction. They reflect on the challenges of studying and find out who they can turn to if they need support during their studies. Since the new freedom and responsibility at the same time overwhelms many people, there are workshops on time management during studies - in different versions: short and online, longer and in person, as well as peer-to-peer (with support from mentors).

Off to the alumni couch

Another challenge is often posed by the foundational subjects, which many consider difficult. Here, the "Alumni Couch" helps boost motivation: In this online event, graduates share their diverse career paths, providing an inspiring insight into the various opportunities that open up with a university degree.

Since Frankfurt is an expensive place to study, financing is likely to be a concern for many students. In an event on the topic, they will be informed about all options for financing their studies and encouraged to submit appropriate applications or apply for a scholarship.
