The best start to studies for everyone
Starting university is the beginning of a new chapter, fraught with personal hopes and expectations. However, the first steps into this new world are unfamiliar to many; some lack prior experience, knowledge, skills, and the right tools. Given the diverse backgrounds of incoming students, how can universities ensure everyone has the best possible start to their studies? How can the transition from school to university be made easier? The "Study at an Adapted Pace" program and its sub-project at h_da provide some answers.
With individualized support programs and tailored study plans in the first phase of their studies, h_da aims to give all new students the best possible start. The extended study program option spreads out the coursework and exam schedule. The two-semester extension of the standard study period provides flexibility for personal life and study planning, allowing ample time to fill knowledge gaps, connect with other students, and form study groups. New students will find a selection of suitable support options within the diverse range of tutorials and training courses.
Currently, the following Bachelor's degree programs offer a slower start to studies in addition to the regular study program:
- Business administration
- Plastics technology
- mechanical engineering
- Mechatronics
