The best start to studies for everyone
Starting your studies is a departure into a new world and is associated with many personal hopes and expectations. But the first steps into this new world are unfamiliar for many; some lack previous experience, knowledge, skills and the right tools. Given the heterogeneous number of first-year students, how can the university ensure that everyone gets the best possible start to their studies? How can the transition from school to university be made easier? The “Study of Adapted Speed” and its sub-project at h_da provide answers.
With individualized support offers and tailored study programs in the first phase of their studies, h_da wants to give different first-year students the best start. In the extended course variant, the study programs and examination situations are equalized. The standard period of study, which has been extended by two semesters, creates scope for personal life and study planning and provides enough time to close gaps in knowledge, find contact with other students and form study groups. In the variety of different tutorials and training courses, first-year students will find a selection of tailor-made support offers.
The following Bachelor's degree programs currently offer a decelerated start to your studies in addition to the standard course of study:
- mechanical engineering
- Mechatronics
- Plastics technology
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
