Visiting Research Fellowship

As a pilot program for the cooperation master's degree program in Curatorial Studies at the Städelschule and the Goethe University, the Visiting Research Fellowship is intended to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration between first-generation art students, students of Curatorial Studies and foreign students in both degree programs. The fellowship, which alternates over five years, is awarded to a scientist who works in the field of “artistic activism” and curatorial practice and is committed to introducing new research methods.

In order to meet the current challenges in museum and exhibition institutions and the call for diversity and inclusion within teaching, the fellowships are intended to implement access to practical research methods into the degree program for the first time, in order to provide new perspectives for further studies and later careers of students.
