How do I write that?
Academic reading and writing are as essential to university studies as chalk is to a blackboard: they help structure ideas and communicate knowledge, adhering to certain frameworks and criteria. However, writing academic texts is particularly challenging and raises many questions for first-year students. Why do I need a research question? What exactly is "academic" about academic writing? How do I work with information from books and journals? How do I cite correctly? And how do I write a structured and precisely formulated text?
The Writing Workshop at FSZ provides answers. Here, students learn from trained peers how to structure their thoughts, argue scientifically, and formulate texts precisely. In workshops and individual consultations, all students, regardless of their field of study, are supported in developing and expanding their writing skills – whether it's their first term paper, their first lab report, or their final thesis.
