DiVine – Developing diversity and inclusion sustainably:

Peer mentoring for the start of studies – by students for students

Starting university often means embarking on a completely different life for first-year students. The first semester presents challenges on academic, personal, social, and organizational levels. Our peer mentoring program is designed to make this transition into this new phase of life enjoyable and less stressful.

First-year students receive support and guidance from upper-level students in the same program who have already experienced this and know what's helpful when starting university. This support is provided through group meetings, workshops on study organization, social events, and open learning spaces with advising opportunities. In the various departments, the mentoring program is tailored to the specific academic culture and is continuously evolving – always with a focus on the current needs of the students.
