Innovation meets tried and tested for successful studies

EDuStart strengthens the good framework conditions for studying and teaching at TU Darmstadt through a combination of innovative pilot projects and proven measures. The six EDuStart pilot projects explicitly address diversity, heterogeneity and various facets of internationalization. Another focus is on quality assurance of studies and teaching.

The individual pilot projects

The pilot projects include the Diversity Education Office , a sub-project for the development, coordination and quality assurance of international study programs , a sub-project for the quality assurance of teacher training courses , the UNITE! Virtual Exchange Credit Program , a sub-project on study orientation and preparation in the engineering disciplines as well as PreBachelor , a program for engineering study preparation for young prospective students from abroad.

Togetherness, shared commitment and shaping the university are an important part of student and university life and benefit particularly from the funded projects, even beyond the funding period.

Proven measures

The EDuStart project allows numerous measures to be further developed and continued that have already proven their positive impact on the quality of studies at TU Darmstadt. These include the online mathematics preliminary course VEMINT and the mathematics meeting points , propaedeutics for refugees, prospective students , the practical phase II for teacher training students , the study orientation offer Students@School , the DLR_School_Lab , the international study start program PreCIS as well as offers to strengthen tutorial teaching .
