Innovation meets proven methods for a successful course of study
EDuStart strengthens the excellent framework for studies and teaching at TU Darmstadt through a combination of innovative pilot projects and proven measures. The six EDuStart pilot projects explicitly address diversity, heterogeneity, and various facets of internationalization. A further focus is on quality assurance in studies and teaching.

The individual pilot projects
The pilot projects include the Diversity Education Office , a sub-project for the development, coordination and quality assurance of international study programs ; a sub-project for quality assurance of teacher training programs ; the UNITE! Virtual Exchange Credit Program , a sub-project for study orientation and preparation in engineering disciplines ; and PreBachelor, a program for preparing young prospective students from abroad for engineering studies.

Togetherness, shared commitment and shaping the university are an important part of student and university life and benefit particularly from the funded projects, even beyond the funding period.

Proven measures
The EDuStart project enables the further development and continuation of numerous measures that have already proven their positive impact on the quality of studies at TU Darmstadt. These include the online preparatory mathematics course VEMINT and the "Meeting Points Mathematics" program , preparatory courses for prospective refugee students , the practical phase II for teacher training students , the study orientation program Students@School , the DLR_School_Lab , the international study start program PreCIS , and initiatives to strengthen tutorial teaching .
