Math, computer science, natural sciences, technology – MINT for short! The number of courses is gigantic. We will help you make the right choice for you and your interests.
Are you female, have you completed your technical college entrance qualification or your Abitur and are you thinking about starting a course of study? Is the range of courses on offer giving you a headache? Are you at all unsure whether a career in science and technology is right for you? Did you develop an interest in MINT at school but had few ideas about what careers these subjects would open up for you? Or are you wondering what studying at a university actually looks like and whether it is an option for you? Then you've come to the right place at the Hessen-Technikum!
Hessen-Technikum program sequence
Our program runs from October to March each year. During this time, you will complete two internships in two of our partner companies (on four days per week) and at the same time complete an orientation course in the MINT areas of a university (on one day per week). There you will attend lectures with the other “technicians”, go on excursions, take part in workshops, get to know role models and students and much more!
Over 90% of Hessen-Technikum participants go on to study in the MINT sector and are consistently happy with their choice.

Qualifications:
We don't expect any prior knowledge; you only need a university entrance qualification. However, the Hessen-Technikum program can also be used to obtain a university entrance qualification through a year-long internship.
Application:
Choose a university (or several if you're undecided), send the short application form from our website to the responsible coordinator, and browse through our pool of over 40 partner companies. During a consultation, we'll match you with suitable companies for your internships. If you'd like to apply to a company outside of our existing partnerships, we're happy to support you.
