To enable all students to gain international learning experiences, "Internationalisation@home" is promoted by fostering collaborative learning in international groups. Creating effective support structures for international students – both exchange students and international degree seekers – is therefore a key focus of the International Office's activities. Support is offered in various areas, such as finding accommodation, securing funding, and, in particular, integrating into university life.
Especially during the initial phase of their studies and while orienting themselves within the German higher education system, international students are offered valuable support and guidance. For successful internationalization at home, the integration of international visiting scholars into teaching is also of great importance. The newly established "Services for International Visiting Scholars and Staff" supports this through targeted guidance and support for international visiting scholars and assistance to departments with organizational matters.
All information and support services are provided for all target groups on a single website . To increase visibility for international guests and partners, the newly established translation service also supports the university's English-language external communications and bilingual infrastructure.
