Offenbach University of Art and Design (HfG)

The Offenbach University of Art and Design (HfG Offenbach) is an art university in the state of Hesse. Founded as a school of crafts in 1832, it was transformed into a university-level institution in 1970. Drawing on the educational and research models of the Bauhaus and the Ulm School of Design, the HfG practices future-oriented teaching in its two disciplines of art and design. One of the HfG's strengths is the interdisciplinary nature of its teaching and research. The HfG has set itself the goal of actively shaping and influencing societal developments, such as digital transformation, globalization, climate change, cultural integration, and the fight against social inequality.
